The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for two faculty positions in the area of Civil Engineering, preferably at the level of Assistant Professor, but higher ranks will be considered. Visiting faculty positions in all ranks will also be considered for one year appointment, extendable to two years.

Applicants for this position should hold a Ph.D. degree in any of the areas of Civil Engineering. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved with current faculty engaged in various civil, environmental, transportation, and general engineering areas in inter and multidisciplinary research in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. The successful applicant will teach general/basic courses at the undergraduate level and graduate level, advise and mentor graduate courses in his/her field of specialization), develop an independent externally funded research program, participate in all aspects of the department’s activities, and serve the profession.
