Under general direction, manages, coordinates, oversees, and participates in the planning and scoping for capital projects and rehabilitation of public utilities infrastructure. Manages the technical aspects of design management for: water/waste water treatment plants, lift stations, water resources, stormwater, water distribution, sanitary collection, City buildings and parks.
Manages, plans, designs, and coordinates public utilities projects and capital improvement projects; manages the Public Utilities assets management program; oversees and manages the design activities on all department capital projects including utilities, building (new and rehabilitation) and parks projects; monitors productivity on project design to ensure that project schedules are adhered to; attends meetings and provides input based on expertise and observations, as appropriate; maintains liaison with other departments to ensure smooth flow of operations and communications; will perform project management of multiple capital projects from start to finish as assigned; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Engineering or related field and five (5) years progressively responsible civil engineering experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience. One (1) years supervisory/managerial experience, required. Must be able to process and run water, wastewater, and stormwater flow models. State of Florida Professional Engineer license, is required.
A valid Florida driver’s license, required. A valid driver’s license from any state (equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized upon application; with the ability to obtain the State of Florida driver’s license within 30 days from day of appointment.

Additional Salary Information: Depending on qualifications the hiring salary will be in the range of $70,281 - $112,005.
