Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure seeks a Staff Engineer to support our growing environmental assessment and remediation practice in Wilmington, NC.
Key Responsibilities •Provide technical support to Project Managers on environmental and civil engineering projects including water and remediation programs •Coordinate and implement field sampling and provide oversight support for water related projects including water quality and quantity as well as water permitting, also work can involve environmental remediation projects - including environmental sampling, field data collection, and groundwater remediation planning and design •Acts as a data gatherer, data interpretation, potential for environmental design and permitting and prepares reports •Follows company safety standards and site safety standards •Professional registration or progression towards certification
Skills / Qualifications
Required •Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, or related discipline •Two to five years’ experience with the performance of field data collection, water related evaluations, stormwater engineering, design/permitting sampling, well installations, remedial actions, data reduction, and technical report preparation •Strong written and verbal communications skills
Preferred •Familiarity with GIS, and visualization software •OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training
