The Quality Manager is directly responsible to oversee the Quality Management System throughout the organization and guarantee our quality promise gets delivered to our customer EVERY time. This position oversees all areas of the QMS to maintain ISO 9001, meet the demands of our customers, meet all regulatory requirements and establish all procedures for maintaining Ford Tool & Machining quality standards and reliability. The position provides quality oversight to customers by way of direct communication and/or corrective action requests. Functions also include resolving deviations and investigations of customer complaints.
Basic responsibilities include:
Administering and enhancing the Quality Management System (QMS)
Leading ISO/9001 as QMS Representative
Acting as an internal consultant and technical expert regarding the impact business changes have on the Quality Management System programs and making the necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
Training site personnel to ensure an understanding and adherence to QMS.
Develop new quality policies and Standard Operating Procedures as needed
Support continuous improvement initiatives by Management by coordinating the collection of quality metrics, change requests and audit results.
Manage calibration of measurement and test equipment
Visits Customers as required
Reviews Customer specifications
Develops appropriate documentation and coordinates the PPAP requests with inspection personnel.
Hands on interaction with shop floor personnel
Quality professional with 5+ years’ experience in a Quality Manager role, preferably in a job shop environment
Significant experience in ISO/9001
Strong leadership skills
CQA/CQE certification preferred
Strong commitment to safety in all job aspects
Strong written and verbal communications
Organized, goal oriented and results driven
Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office 2007+
