The Fayetteville Public Works Commission is seeking a professional engineer to provide project management oversight for a variety of water and wastewater projects. Must possess excellent ability to work in a team environment and coordinate effectively with internal and external customers. Experience in design and construction of water and wastewater projects desired. Must be able to develop accurate project budgets and coordinate with consulting engineers. Individual should be an independent thinker and open to ideas for alternate project delivery. Experience in construction management to include completing bidding process, managing construction issues, reviewing pay applications and completing final project closeout required.
Must possess a BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience in design and construction of water and wastewater projects
Experienced in managing water and wastewater projects to include managing the design, developing and managing budgets and following to completion through the bidding and construction phase.
Ability to think outside the box by providing proactive thinking to continue to move the organization into the future and to meet future demands for water and wastewater utility service.
Must work well in a team environment
Must be able to make independent decisions in accordance with established guidelines
Must possess Professional Engineer License
Good organizational skills required
Must possess strong work ethic with complete devotion to putting the necessary effort into completion of a quality product at all times
Must possess a valid North Carolina Drivers License.
