The Stanislaus Council of Governments (StanCOG) is seeking a qualified Professional Civil Engineer with experience in transportation planning and engineering, project management and in the design and construction of public works projects, with an understanding of federal and state funding and programming, to lead the implementation of the agency's transportation sales tax program, Measure L, by providing oversight and input on the delivery of priority regional and local projects in the Stanislaus region of northern California in coordination with our local member agencies.

StanCOG is the federally-designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), state-designated Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA), and Local Transportation Authority (LTA) for the Stanislaus region of northern California. StanCOG is a public organization that works with local governments and citizens in the Stanislaus region by dealing with issues and needs that cross city and county boundaries. Established in 1971, StanCOG is a council of city and county governments, comprised of the cities of Ceres, Hughson, Modesto, Newman, Oakdale, Patterson, Riverbank, Turlock and Waterford, and Stanislaus County, which addresses regional transportation issues.
