Plating Process Engineer
(Attleboro, MA) Utilize biochemical engineering knowledge to design and oversee lab functions related to biochemical plating processes and projects. Design and validate project requirements and regulatory standards and create related documents and work instructions. Develop plating finishes to solve challenging plating issues using manual rack, barrel, and vibratory plating. Monitor performance of plating processes, identify and troubleshoot engineering and technical issues, and perform failure analysis to assess root cause and options for resolution. Draw conclusions from analysis performed and write detailed reports, including environmental reporting. Analyze plating processes and operations to implement continuous improvement activities, processes and actions to improve efficiency and lower costs for operations. Determine most effective plating process based on product, project and customer requirements. Review, assess, design and implement equipment improvements to optimize worker and process productivity.
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or related field and two years experience developing plating finishes, overseeing plating processes, and implementing continuous improvement activities in Plating Process Engineer, Plating Process Lead or related position required.
