Are you a subject matter expert in power design with a passion for innovation? Do you have the drive to lead complex electrical engineering projects from concept to manufacturing? Celestica is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Staff Engineer, Electrical Design - Power to join our team.

This is a leadership role for a hands-on engineer. You will be the technical authority for power systems, leading the design and implementation of cutting-edge solutions for various applications, including high-performance computing, networking, and storage products. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of our customer's next-generation hardware.

Your Impact & Responsibilities

As our Staff Engineer, you will lead the charge on challenging electrical design projects. Your key responsibilities include:

• Lead Technical Design: Serve as the technical expert for power systems, designing new electrical circuits and capturing them in schematics and system specifications.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME): Provide technical direction and guidance to a team of engineers. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing complex system tradeoffs and recommending innovative solutions.
• Drive Project Execution: Take responsibility for the technical and non-technical elements of a project, including planning, scheduling, and managing relationships with key vendors, partners, and customers.
• Validate and Qualify Systems: Use advanced simulation tools like PSPICE and LTSPICE to test, validate, and qualify your designs. You will troubleshoot performance issues and provide support throughout the entire manufacturing process.
• Customer Engagement: Act as a primary technical contact for customers, interpreting their requirements and presenting technical proposals and solutions

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

We're looking for an accomplished engineer with a deep knowledge of power design and the proven ability to lead. The ideal candidate will have:

• Deep Technical Expertise: You are a Subject Matter Expert in power design with in-depth knowledge of DC/DC power topologies and experience with high-current, high-phase designs for ASICs and GPUs.
• Practical Skills: Proficiency with schematic capture and CAD layout tools. You have hands-on experience with PCB stack-up, power planes, and simulating voltage gradients.
• Leadership & Communication: You can provide technical leadership to a team of engineers and effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. You are able to present complex technical information to various audiences.
• Experience: 9-12 years of related experience.

Typical Education

• Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary

• $130,000 - 175,000 USD/year
