Are you a hands-on engineer with a passion for building the infrastructure that powers artificial intelligence? Celestica is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Rack-Level Integration Engineer to join our team in either Dallas, TX, or San Jose, CA.
In this critical role, you will be the final point of integration for our most advanced AI compute racks. This isn't just about assembly; it's about ensuring every component—from servers and accelerators to networking switches and cooling solutions—works together flawlessly to deliver optimal performance. You will be at the forefront of the technology that powers the future of AI.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
As a Rack-Level Integration Engineer, you will be the key to bringing our cutting-edge AI systems to life. Your core responsibilities include:
- Hands-On Integration: Lead the comprehensive physical and software integration of all components within advanced AI compute racks. This involves meticulous racking and stacking, cable management, and seamless system setup.
- System Qualification: Rigorously test and qualify complete rack solutions to ensure they meet or exceed stringent performance, reliability, and efficiency standards.
- Power & Management: Oversee power distribution within the rack, from integrating smart PDUs to configuring rack-level management functions for real-time monitoring and control.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design teams, program managers, customers, and vendors to ensure a smooth integration process and the successful delivery of solutions.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all integrations, including test plans, results, and issues, to ensure best practices are captured and shared.
Requirements
Knowledge & Skills We're Looking For
We're looking for a highly detail-oriented and experienced engineer. The ideal candidate will have:
- Rack-Level Expertise: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in rack-level integration, including servers, accelerators, switches, cooling systems (CDUs), and high-power shelves.
- Technical Proficiency: A strong understanding of AI compute rack configurations and a deep knowledge of rack-level management functions. Proficiency in Linux and scripting languages like Python is required.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail are critical for identifying and resolving complex integration issues.
- Experience: 7 to 10 years of related experience.
- Education: A BSc degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office and Data center environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional travel may be required.
