RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution architecture which aligns with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology and platform choices.
- Describe the solution intent and the associated operating environment, determine the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces, defining nonfunctional requirements and architectural runway to support new epics/features.
- Ensure the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions.
- Work across business and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision and evolve it to an emerging backlog.
- Consult the business to clearly understand the business problems and technology to understand the technology challenges of the solution and find creative solutions through practical experiments and POCs.
- Rapidly shape high-level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements; ensure architecture is flexible and modular and designed to adapt easily.
- Utilize experience with large scale Enterprise Hadoop environment builds and operations, design, capacity planning, cluster set up, security, performance tuning and monitoring.
- Use the full Cloudera CDP distribution to install, configure and monitor all services in the CDP stack.
- Utilize core Cloudera Hadoop services, HDFS, Ozone, MapReduce, Kafka, Spark and Spark-Streaming, Hive, Impala, HBASE, Sqoop, and Oozie.
- Administer and Support RHEL Linux operating systems, databases, and hardware in an enterprise environment.
- Setup and configure security for Hadoop clusters using Kerberos with integration with LDAP/AD at an Enterprise level.
- Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Security Management, Engineering (any), or related and
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
- Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Utilizing experience with large scale Enterprise Hadoop environment builds and operations, design, capacity planning, cluster set up, security, performance tuning and monitoring;
- Using the full Cloudera CDP distribution to install, configure and monitor all services in the CDP stack;
- Utilizing core Cloudera Hadoop services, HDFS, Ozone, MapReduce, Kafka, Spark and Spark-Streaming, Hive, Impala, HBASE, Sqoop, and Oozie;
- Administering and Supporting RHEL Linux operating systems, databases, and hardware in an enterprise environment; and,
