Easton Utilities is currently seeking to fill the position of Civil Engineer. The ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced in performing engineering functions on utilities projects and have a strong work ethic that portrays Easton Utilities core values of Integrity, Commitment, Excellence.
Civil Engineer I
JOB OBJECTIVE: To perform engineering functions for Easton Utilities’ projects including planning, design and overseeing construction and maintenance of structures and facilities. This is a full-time, exempt position.
Civil Engineer II
JOB OBJECTIVE: The Civil Engineer II is responsible for professional/technical engineering, engineering design and review, standards, inspections, GIS/CAD supervision, and project management. The Civil Engineer II will oversee the engineering functions for Easton Utilities’ projects including planning, design, contract bid and award, overseeing the construction and maintenance of structures, utility infrastructure and facilities. This is a full-time, exempt position.
Requirements
For placement at the Civil Engineer I position:
Annual salary of $92,742.00 or higher depending upon experience and credentials
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have construction experience, preferably in all utility departments.
Must have project administration skills including public relations, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Four-year college degree from an ABET accredited Engineering college and EIT required.
Must have PE within five years of hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have the physical capabilities to be actively involved in construction projects.
Must wear proper PPE at all times.
For placement at the Civil Engineer II position:
Annual salary of $111,291.00 or higher depending upon experience and credentials
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of three years’ PE experience.
Must have construction experience, preferably in all utility departments.
Must have project management skills including public relations, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
A valid driver’s license.
