We are looking for someone who can provide subject matter expertise and support to internal stakeholder groups for gas turbines, reciprocating engines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, pollution control equipment, and general compressor station design and operation.
This position represents Gas Transmission & Midstream (GTM) to various functional groups within Enbridge, participates in industry organizations on behalf of Enbridge, and acts as a primary point of contact with our compression equipment suppliers.
Here's what you will do:
- The position develops and executes policies, Operating and Maintenance Procedures (OMPs), programmatic improvement plans, and equipment / design specifications to maintain standardization of practices across GTM.
- This position works closely with various stakeholders across Enbridge to address compression operational issues, and compression project design and installation.
- This position provides input and guidance on Environmental topics, answers Legal and Regulatory questions, shepherds long term programmatic planning, and leads special projects related to compression equipment and failure investigations.
- Daily work includes input and output of information, data and analysis, and programmatic management among the stakeholders within Enbridge.
- Communications with these stakeholders range from peer interactions to Senior Leadership briefings and presentations.
Required:
- BS in Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of experience in gas transmission or a technically related field in rotating equipment
- Proficient with office software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
Preferred:
- Familiar with applicable Pipeline regulations: Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) regulation.
- Familiar with applicable Environmental regulations: EPA and State level regulatory agencies
- Mechanical SME and understanding of compressor station and gas pipeline operations.
- Familiarity with Maximo MMS.
- Good writing and communications skills.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based work schedule.
- 30%-40% travel required in this role to field and vendor locations in the US and occasionally, Canada.

Physical Requirements:
Included but not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 25 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
