Description
Location:Bratislava, SKAbout the role
As a data/application engineer supporting the Alternative Capital Partners IT unit (ACP), you will cooperate closely with other engineers on running and enhancing an IT application. The application is embedded into an environment serving business and integrates with other applications and platforms. The application is productive and operational. The role requires maintenance, new feature development and operations support. It requires communication with an international user community as well as a wide range of IT peers across the globe.
About the team
We are a small, dynamic, and international team of experienced specialists that design, build and operate the ACP IT landscape in collaboration with our business partners. We follow agile methodologies (daily stand-up, bi-weekly sprints, product increments) and utilize DevOps recommendations. We are actively utilizing Microsoft Azure cloud and Palantir Foundry platform for our application landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Create new solultions, implement change requests, bug fixing and adequate test cases for system/application
- Optimize application performance and ensure secure, scalable deployments in palantir foundry & azure environment.
- Maintain code quality and automated testing using CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide operational support and troubleshooting of the production issues
Ensure processing of reporting deliverables, data feeds in due time according to closing cycles - Operational support, monitoring and issue handling within the team
- Produce (and maintain) system & application documentation
About you
You are an experienced software engineer with a university degree (Masters preferred) in IT, engineering (or similar), that enjoys being hands-on. You have an accomplished record in delivering sustainable solutions and set the standard for those around you. You are comfortable working in multi-dimensional teams with direct involvement from business SMEs and care about security, quality, user experience, documentation, testing, team spirit and the big picture.
Professional background and key skills:
- Four or more years' experience as a data/application or full-stack engineer
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools using Azure DevOps or equivalent platforms
- Good knowledge and work experience on automated testing (Jest, Junit) or test driven-development approach
- High level of abstraction, fast understanding, conceptual thinking, and strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools (preferably Azure DevOps)
- Prior experience with azure cloud and/or palantir Foundry is a plus
- Ability to work in agile teams using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams
- Strong knowledge of SQL and databases (e.g. Postgres SQL, Oracle)
- Proficient in Python, PySpark (Spark) and TypeScript (or JavaScript)
- Willingness to learn new technologies and languages
- Proficiency in English (written & verbal)
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 2,400] and [EUR 4,100] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
