Description
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of all electrical systems. These include standard building-related systems, landside lighting for parking lots and roadways, as well as specialized systems related to commercial airport operations.
Requirements
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in commercial electrical system maintenance and repair.
Completion of a technical or apprenticeship program in the electrical trade.
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a Virginia State Electrical certification at the Journeyman level (preferred, but not mandatory).
Required Skills
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including:
Runway and taxiway airfield lighting and control systems (fixture revamping, rebuilding, underground cable fault locating and repair).
Electrical service and distribution equipment in airfield lighting vaults (troubleshooting and repairing constant current regulators, lighting control systems, emergency generators, and automatic transfer switches).
Automatic vehicle gates, including both mechanical and electrical components.
