Description
THE POSITION
We invite you to join the high performing team at the Town of Prescott Valley, serving as an Engineer in the Utilities Department. In this position you will be exposed to a wide variety of exciting challenges and opportunities that enhance your career while making a meaningful contribution to this beautiful, high growth area of Northern Arizona.
In this position you will:
Review public and private project development plans for compliance with water and wastewater engineering standards.
Provide engineering support to field inspectors on capital improvement projects, track construction progress and process pay requests.
Manage and assist consultants performing work for the town; prepare RFQs and bid documents.
Use GIS, water and sewer models, and other tools to assist in performing evaluations of master planning documents for water and sewer infrastructure.
Perform hydraulic analysis for sewer or water system projects using standard engineering techniques and computer models.
Analyze options and recommend solutions for capital projects and equipment replacement for water and wastewater systems.
Work on capital improvement projects for wells, tanks, water lines, sewer lines, lift stations and wastewater treatment plant.
Requirements
Needs to have/ be:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering field with four (4) years progressively responsible experience in engineering.
Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.
Desirable Qualifications/Skills:
Water and/or wastewater experience.
Plan review experience.
Construction Management and administration
Compensation:
The Town’s complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture. The Town package includes a health, dental and vision insurance plan, participation in the Arizona State Retirement System, optional 457 deferred compensation with town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits.
The expected starting salary range is $102,544 to $107,681
The salary range is $102,544 to $143,561.
