This is the average annual salary not the base pay featured in the job opportunity announcement. All calculations include CIVMAR total take-home pay (including overtime, penalty, etc.).
DUTIES

Incentive is paid as a lump sum at the beginning of employment with the Command. Mixed Work Schedule, VEOA candidates and Annuitants selected for employment are not eligible for recruitment incentives.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Must be a United States citizen of at least 18 years of age and possess and maintain:
U.S. Passport with a minimum of seven months of expiration date.
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and/or Department of Defense (DOD) Common Access Card (CAC) with a minimum of ten (10) months remaining of expiration.
United States Coast Guard (USCG) Merchant Mariner’s Credential (MMC), with a minimum of ten months remaining of expiration date.
Position Specific Requirements: USCG license endorsed as: First Assistant Engineer or above – Steam, Gas Turbine, or Motor vessels of Unlimited Horsepower. Standards of Training and Certification of Watchkeeping (STCW) with the following endorsements: - III-1, III-2, III-3, III-4 and III-5. - Assistant Engineer (or higher). - Proficiency in survival Craft & Rescue Boats Other than FRB (PSC). Qualified Member of the Engine Department (QMED) – Any Rating. (Any indicates mariner holds all Unlicensed Engine Department Ratings). Federal EPA Universal refrigerant handling certificate/card reflecting document number.
Above credentials and endorsements must be valid for at least seven months.
