Our client is a premier multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund with over $10 billion in assets under management, known for delivering consistent, uncorrelated returns through a diverse set of global investment strategies. Our client is searching for a talented Python full-stack engineer to help build out their Commodities Technology team in London. This is an integral role, and you will collaborate closely with members of the risk management and portfolio management teams. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of strategic systems and support a growing and dynamic business.

You'll work closely with key stakeholders to design and deliver high-performance solutions for commodity trading. This includes building pricing engines, risk models, data infrastructure, and interactive visual tools. You will be involved in hands-on quantitative development of pricing models, risk analytics, and value-at-risk. You'll also contribute to user interface development and charting, helping to create intuitive and insightful tools for end users.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain cutting-edge tools for commodity trading, covering pricing models, risk analytics, data pipelines, storage, distribution, and visualization.
• Partner with risk and portfolio management teams to translate complex business needs into smart, scalable tech solutions.
• Collaborate across technology teams to harness strategic data assets, frameworks, and platforms for maximum impact.
• Align tech with business goals by working closely with developers, DevOps, tech leads, and stakeholders in risk and portfolio management.

Requirements:

• 6+ years in full-stack development, delivering scalable, high-performance software solutions.
• Expert in Python for backend development and data analysis using Pandas, Numpy, SciPy etc, to drive robust functionality and insights.
• Strong grasp of system architecture, including object-oriented design, distributed systems, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on with databases and cloud tech, including MySQL, Postgres, AWS (S3, EC2, EKS, Batch, Airflow).
• Experienced with CICD and messaging tools, using Git, Jenkins, Redis, Kafka, and more to streamline delivery.
