Enhanced Veterans Solutions, Inc. (EVS) is seeking a Systems Engineer (Windows) to support an upcoming proposal effort* for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). This role will require you to support Department of Defense (DoD) programs by designing, implementing, and managing enterprise Windows-based systems in complex networked environments. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in Windows infrastructure with a broad understanding of systems integration, security, and virtualization, particularly within government and defense settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
- Support the implementation and administration of virtualization technologies such as VMware.
- Manage and optimize enterprise storage systems (e.g., NetApp, EMC).
- Ensure secure and efficient data communication using TCP/IP protocols.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
- Troubleshoot issues related to server performance, connectivity, and software applications.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to maintain compliance with DoD security requirements.
- Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and patches.
- Apply structured engineering principles to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of IT infrastructure.
*This position is contingent upon the award of the contract. The anticipated start date and scope of work will be determined based on the outcome of the interview process and the details of the awarded contract.
Requirements:- Three (3) years of professional experience in Windows systems design and implementation within DoD or large-scale networked environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Bachelor's degree in applied Mechanics or Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMware, NetApp/EMC storage systems, and TCP/IP.
- Active Top-Secret Clearance
- Must have IAT II level certifications such as Security+, or CASP+.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting classified DoD systems or secure federal environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across system, application, and network layers.
- Familiarity with systems engineering processes in construction, infrastructure, or environmental project contexts.
