Description
Job DescriptionThe Mid-Level DevOps Engineer is ideal for a skilled professional that enjoys implementing and maintaining continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure automation solutions within Agile environments. If they thrive in a collaborate with cross-functional teams, and want to help drive the adoption of automation and efficiency across the software development lifecycle then this is an the position to pursue.
This role requires solid technical skills, familiarity with Agile methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
The work includes:
Infrastructure Automation: Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD): Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable software delivery.
Containerization Support: Support containerization initiatives by assisting in the implementation and management of Docker containers and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS. Monitoring and Alerting: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog to monitor system performance, detect issues, and facilitate troubleshooting.
Agile Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and sprint reviews, collaborating with Agile teams to prioritize DevOps tasks, estimate effort, and provide regular updates on progress.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document DevOps processes, configurations, and best practices. Share knowledge and expertise with team members through documentation, presentations, and training sessions.
Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline DevOps processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention, under the guidance of senior DevOps engineers.
Cloud Platform Familiarity: Gain familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and assist in the implementation of cloud-native solutions.
Infrastructure Optimization: Identify opportunities for infrastructure optimization and cost reduction through resource right-sizing, utilization analysis, and optimization of cloud services.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
This role requires solid technical skills, familiarity with Agile methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential to success.
Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in DevOps, system administration, or software engineering roles, with exposure to continuous integration (CI) and continuous development (CD), infrastructure automation, and cloud technologies.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in Agile environments in roles involving collaboration within Agile teams.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar certifications demonstrating proficiency in DevOps practices and cloud technologies are highly desirable
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
