Overview
The Network Engineer (Senior) is responsible for designing and managing secure, scalable, and cost-effective network architectures and solutions that align with agency strategy and federal compliance mandates. This includes operating, administering and securing NTIA networks.
*This position is contingent upon contract award.*
Responsibilities
- Design and manage robust network architectures (LAN, WAN, cloud).
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and optimize performance.
- Plan and execute network security measures (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
- Monitor network performance and conduct periodic network audits.
- Experience in system hardening of network infrastructure to include DoD STIG implementation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance required!
- Certifications: Desired certifications in Certified Cisco Network Professions (CCNP) or similar certification.
- Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Network Engineering.
- Systems Tools Familiarity:
- Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, CloudFlare, GitHub, Salesforce
- Dataverse: A secure data platform that integrates with all Power Platform tools
- Ttools and platforms to host and manage customer environment Microsoft, VMWare, NetApp, Cisco, Palo Alto, Intune, Azure, M365, SentinelOne, Splunk, Tenable, Axonius, Varonis, Aquia
- Microsoft Entra ID, OKTA, and on prem Active Directory to manage Identity Management and multi-factor authentication
- NetApp and Microsoft Azure for backups and storage
- Additional Experience Desired:
- Familiarity with FISMA, NIST, OMB, and other federal cybersecurity compliance standards.
- Experience working with DOC or similar federal agencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. This includes drafting SOPs and technical documents.
