Description
Environmental Services is looking for an Operations Technology Engineer, to join the Electrical and Instrumentation team in our Operations & Maintenance Division. This position is a member of a team of three Operations Technology Engineers who have the primary oversight for Environmental Service’s Plant Control System. The Operations Technology Engineer, is responsible for the maintenance, and troubleshooting of all Environmental Services’ facilities' control systems, private data networks, and access control systems This position requires a high level of technical expertise to support the critical functions of the Plant Control System including Data Historians, Virtual Machines, Database, Control System environment, and Cyber Security best practices and monitoring within the control system environment of Control Centers of various Environmental Services facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Respond to technical support queries from Operational Systems users.
Support virtual computing hosting platforms.
Provide support to Control Systems as required to support Utility operations.
Participate in small scale maintenance and upgrade projects for Operational Systems
Coordinate with affected business units to design and implement projects to minimize impacts and downtime.
Support Microsoft Active Directory, policies, and configurations
Schedule departmental and vendor/contract resources as required.
Participate in inter-departmental business case development resource teams to provide guidance for operational technology requirements.
Support the development of cost models and estimates for proposed software/ technology solutions including hardware, software, installation, and future recurring maintenance costs and organizational impacts; identify and quantify benefits of proposed solutions; analyze potential risks and possible mitigation strategies related to operational technology.
Develop functional and technical specifications for Operational Systems technology initiatives.
Develop and implement automation routines to support maintenance tasks.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Details:
Hourly Rate: $45.87 - $64.60
Annual Salary: $95,409.60 - $134,368.00

Requirements
Minimum Education*
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or directly related field
Minimum Experience*
2 years of computer network, communications engineering or industrial controls experience
Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
As Assigned:
Washington State Driver's License
Depending on assignment, some positions may require the ability to pass additional background checks and / or obtain additional certifications, with maintenance thereafter
*Equivalency: 1 year of experience = 1 year of education
Knowledge & Skills
First response to system failures through participation in on call rotation in a 24x7 data
center environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with operational IT infrastructure support systems operations including management, backup/recovery, antivirus, and system monitoring/logging.
Experience working in the utility industry on regulated systems.
Experience with Rockwell Control System, Data Historian and Genetec Security Systems.
