My client, a global fund, is looking for a technically strong, commercially minded Platform Engineer to lead the rollout and ongoing development of a next-generation data and AI platform. This role is pivotal in helping teams - spanning research, investment,

operations, and marketing - improve productivity and unlock new capabilities through advanced integration, automation, and intelligent workflows.

You will work end-to-end across solution design, configuration, code development, and platform enablement, becoming the go-to expert on how these tools can accelerate decision-making and operational efficiency across the organisation.

This position is based in London 4 days a week however, this does come with an additional 40 days remote working of your choosing. The salary goes up to £120,000 per year + bonus.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Ownership & Development

• • Configure, develop, and maintain solutions across core platform modules (data models, workbooks, applications, etc.)
  • Build robust pipelines and reusable data assets to support multiple cross-team use cases
  • Integrate external systems, APIs, and services to enhance internal workflows
  • Manage platform operations including access control, deployment workflows, versioning, and collaboration practices

Stakeholder Engagement

• • Partner with business users to translate requirements into modular, scalable solutions
  • Act as a technical advisor and main point of contact for platform-related questions and capability rollouts
  • Create and maintain internal documentation to support self-service and organisational knowledge

Automation & Integration

• • Implement serverless functions, workflow automations, and low-code interfaces
  • Build AI/LLM-enabled tools to augment analytics and research workflows
  • Support integration with productivity suites, version control systems, and cloud services (Azure/GCP)

Continuous Improvement

• • Stay up to date with platform updates, technical trends, and best practices in the data and AI ecosystem
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation, capability enhancement, or cost-efficiency

Required Skills & Experience

• • Strong coding ability in Python, SQL, and JavaScript
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining production-grade systems and integrations
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS) and serverless development
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or similar native applications)
  • Experience with APIs, web scraping, Git-based workflows, and ETL tooling
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale data or AI platforms (experience with Palantir products is highly desirable)
  • Experience with low-code tools such as Airtable, Power Automate, or comparable services
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • Certifications in cloud architecture, data engineering, or AI/ML platforms
  • Familiarity with enterprise productivity and collaboration tools (Microsoft 365, Notion, etc.)
