Description
Manage projects local to office associated with land surveying projects obtained by the company.
Primary Position Duties:
Duties include: consulting with clients; preparing proposals and contracts; providing guidance and direction to field crew(s); providing guidance and direction to engineering and surveying technicians; overseeing survey aspects of civil engineering projects; overseeing and/or directing preparation of all types of survey plans; preparing flood elevation certificates; deed and plan research and review; fieldwork associated with land surveying, engineering, and construction projects; survey computations and data collection; computer-aided design and drafting
Ensures the preparation of accurate, complete, and value-added work products and perform survey computations; ensure timely document delivery; and deliver profitable projects
Consistently meets and exceeds client expectations by ensuring accurate, complete and timely communication of information to and from clients and firm staff; perform quality control review of design plans; create and maintain filing system on survey projects; and perform billing functions; monitor opportunities to provide extra services
Must be competent in the knowledge of/and be able to perform the following: analyze survey control, boundary, and topographical surveying utilizing GPS and conventional survey methods; preparation of ALTA surveys
Participates in project team meetings and follows procedures outlined in Project Management Standards manual

Requirements
Fluent English with reading, written and verbal communication skills, Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and other video conferencing software.
Ability to use Trimble Surveying Equipment and Business Center software or similar equipment/software. Ability to collect and analyze data, apply problem solving skills to specific design tasks, develop creative solutions, work alone or as part of a project team, and demonstrate attention to detail.
Effective communication skills are essential for this position
Required:
Bachelor of Science Degree with Surveying Certification, or equivalent
Illinois Professional Land Surveyor
Current Driver’s License
Preferred:
Minimum of five years surveying experience
