Project Engineer Water Resources
Job Summary:
Lead design teams on water resources projects, performing technical analyses, engineering designs, and coordinating with clients and agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead design teams on water resources projects.
Conduct field reviews to develop designs for new or rehabilitated facilities.
Prepare and oversee technical analyses and engineering designs.
Coordinate with project owners, resource and permitting agencies, and outside consultants.
Perform AutoCAD drafting and GIS exhibit development.
Support construction coordination, inspection, management, and document review.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering; Masters degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years preparing engineering analyses and designs for water resource-related projects.
Professional Civil Engineering (PE) license in California.
Experience overseeing a team of engineers and supporting staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Client management and communications experience.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
Valid California drivers license.
Formal project management training or certification preferred.
Understanding of California Central Valley environmental agencies and other State and Federal regulatory agencies.
Participation in an industry-related professional organization.
