Quality Assurance Engineer sought by Schaeffler Group USA Inc. in Cheraw, SC to create tchl quality sols for production processes, coordinate customer complaints w/ mgmt, anlys parts returned from customers & warranty cases. Rqts: Bach deg or frgn equiv in Indl Engg or rel + 1 yr exp in job offered or rel. 1 yr exp must incl: QA in Auto indsty; AIAG supplements, PPAP; APQP; QSA; MSA; SPC & FMEA creation; Creation of reports based on data mining & anlys from customers; Root cause anlys of complaints to impv mftg process & solve issues; Providing results from tchl anlys of parts to design engg team to improve part design & performance; Quality tools incl AIAG, PFMEA, 5S, Root Cause Anlys (5-why, Ishikawa, Pareto), Capability Anlys, Waste Elimination, Gage R&R, Pareto, Poke-Yoke, Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, Zeiss CMM, SAP, reverse PFMEA, & Line Challenge +; Stat anlys tools incl MINITAB, SAS Enterprise Guide & MS Excel; MS Visio; Conducting scrap reduction & problem solving Lean Six Sigma Projects; Reducing fallout on mftg components & assemblies using lean six sigma principles & methods & DOE; Working in SAP quality module for receiving inspection & releasing samples; Administering & maintaining data from Inspection plans & Prints to central QS-Stat database; & identifying & minimizing failure costs (IFC) from incorrect booking of inventory & incorrect/irregular scrap reporting on SAP. Up to 15% travel to various & unanticipated Schaeffler locs & client sites nat’l.
