Your New Role – Senior Development Engineer
Are you a seasoned civil engineer with a passion for development and infrastructure? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy mentoring others? We’re looking for a Senior Development Engineer to lead and shape the future of engineering within our Council.
As our Senior Development Engineer, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all engineering aspects of development, building, and plumbing applications. You’ll provide expert guidance to our Development Engineer and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet the highest standards.
Essential:
- An undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering.
- Eligible for membership with the Institute of Engineers (MIEAust).
- Minimum five years of experience in a similar role and a proven track record in the coordination and management of Council development engineering units.
- Excellent technical knowledge of all relevant engineering standards, design guides and governing legislation.
- Excellent understanding of the Tasmanian Planning Process and Tasmanian Planning Scheme, including its implementation within the realm of development engineering.
- Previous experience in construction supervision and inspection.
- High level written and verbal communication skills, including attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
Salary and conditions: Full-time position (75 hours per fortnight). Central Coast Council’s Enterprise Agreement – Professional Level 4 ($64.61-$71.03 per hour, $126,000-$138,512 per annum).
