Job Description:
This job is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the job include delivering complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies, providing technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations, and applying both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Additionally, this job is accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development and delivery of MRIA regulatory initiatives, ensuring compliance, performance, and scalability.
- Architect and implement solutions using Hadoop, PySpark, and Scala, optimizing for data processing and analytics.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology peers across organizations to drive progress and resolve complex challenges.
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using .NET, Java, Mule, and Python.
- Build reusable tools and frameworks, including Code Quality Tools and Data Sanitization solutions, to enhance development efficiency and data security.
- Apply Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to solve business problems, including model development using KPMG Ignite.
- Utilize tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, Splunk, AppDynamics, Ansible, XLR, and ALM for monitoring, automation, and quality assurance.
- Contribute institutional knowledge and domain expertise to accelerate onboarding and solution delivery.
- Champion agile practices and mentor teams in design thinking and innovation.
- Ensures that the design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger portfolio solution.
- Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tool/framework/practices for team(s)
- Enables team(s)/applications with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities and engages with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline
- Guides and influences team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance -e.g. pairing, code reviews
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in application development, with a focus on Big Data and enterprise-scale systems.
- Proficiency in Hadoop, PySpark, Scala, and Python.
- Strong experience with .NET, Java, MuleSoft, and full-stack development.
- Hands-on experience with Machine Learning, especially NLP technologies.
- Master's degree in Data Science (MS) or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with KPMG Ignite or similar NLP platforms.
- Deep understanding of technology landscape and regulatory frameworks in financial Industry.
- Proven leadership in innovation, including patent contributions and design thinking facilitation.
