Job Description

Rockwell Automation seeks a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to architect and enhance automation solutions that accelerate business delivery and ensure operational excellence across our global technology landscape.

You will report to the Senior IT Manager located in the USA and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automation workflows for provisioning, configuration, and management of on-premise network devices, servers, and storage.

• Define and standardize configuration baselines, lead audits of existing device configurations, and drive remediation of technical debt and compliance gaps.

• Develop and maintain reusable automation templates and playbooks (e.g., Ansible, NetBox, Terraform) for zero-touch provisioning and lifecycle management.

• Integrate configuration standards into automated workflows, ensuring new devices and refresh cycles are compliant and scalable.

• Architect compliance validation and drift detection mechanisms within provisioning pipelines for real-time monitoring and remediation.

• Implement configuration management features, including version control, rollback, and secure protocol enforcement.

• Champion continuous improvement through baseline reviews, automation enhancements, and integration of compliance metrics.

• Lead automation for enterprise infrastructure and application environments using CI/CD and DevOps practices.

• Optimize build, test, and deployment pipelines for cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

• Serve as an internal consultant and mentor on automation best practices, collaborating across IT teams and business partners.

• Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues, document workflows, and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or senior infrastructure automation roles, with leadership in large-scale projects.

• Expertise in enterprise infrastructure (systems, networking, cloud, security).

• Advanced experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

• Expert scripting/programming (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).

• Advanced skills in infrastructure-as-code/configuration management (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).

• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.

• Proficiency in English.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Experience with large-scale or hybrid enterprise automation.

• Familiarity with cloud networking, load balancers, SDN, or hybrid architectures.

• Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow) and CMDBs.

• Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes).

• Experience mentoring teams and driving change.
