- Senior Mechanical Engineer
Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team close to downtown Los Angeles, California.
What we need from you:
Build long-term customer relationships with existing and potential customers
Effectively manage HVAC design projects by satisfying clients' needs, meeting budget expectations and project schedules.
Provide support during construction phases
Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of mechanical engineering.
Manage a multi project workload as well as oversee the design work of other engineers. The successful candidate will be accountable for project coordination and quality, as well as budget adherence, and overall team communication.
Must possess strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsible for oversight of production team on specific projects
Lead multi-disciplinary team for mechanically focused projects
Perform coordination with other disciplines on all projects.
Perform projects within established project budgets and schedules.
Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or completed Course Work in HVAC
LEED Certification is a plus
EXPERIENCE:
10 years of experience minimum, individuals should have recent experience working for a consulting engineering or engineering/architectural firm designing HVAC systems.
Experience in the following preferred:
o Residential
o Commercial
o Multi-Family
o Restaurants
SKILLS:
Strong interpersonal skills and experience in maintaining strong client relationships are required.
Ability to communicate effectively with people through oral presentations and written communications.
Ability to motivate multiple-discipline project teams in meeting client's needs in a timely manner and meeting budget objectives.
Experienced at using a computer, preferably knowledgeable with MS Word, MS Excel, Blueprints, AutoCAD, and REVIT is a plus.
