In this role, you will provide engineering support to field personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of Gulf Coast Transmission Region facilities.

What you will do:
- Review Open-System Job Plans prepared by others, conduct risk assessments, ensure thermal protection, and approve isolation plans for alternative isolation.
- Work with operations supervision, asset and equipment class managers, and subject matter experts (SME) to enter risks into the Risk Register and perform risk assessments.
- Provide support to US Core and Major Projects teams in developing and implementing projects affecting Gulf Coast Transmission Region Operations, documenting project deficiencies and managing project-acceptance by Operations.
- For issues that require mitigation outside of the project management departments, manage engineering activities and support execution.
- Work with company SMEs to address the engineering needs of the region, as well as, continuously improve the company's SME knowledgebase and standards. This includes supporting Operations in specifying and requisitioning material
- Collaborate with technical standards group to ensure engineering standards, equipment specifications, and engineering construction specifications meet U.S. regulatory requirements and reflect U.S. practices.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- A minimum of six years of experience with pipeline and/or terminal engineering.
- Well-developed problem solving, decision-making, organization, and planning skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills required to connect with a variety of internal and external parties.
- Role requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment.
- 20-30% of travel.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
