Position Summary:
The System Integration Specialist role provides technical support for Microsoft 365 products such as Intune and Teams and assists campus departments in adopting and optimizing Microsoft 365 services. The specialist will help develop and host trainings for Microsoft products and support secure collaboration across platforms. The specialist is also responsible for assisting in managing configurations and developing policies in Intune as well as other platforms. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve support requests related to Microsoft Intune, including device enrollment, policy deployment, and compliance issues.
- Work closely with campus technicians to ensure smooth integration of university resources to the Microsoft Intune environment.
- Assist faculty, staff, campus technicians and students with onboarding and usage of Microsoft 365 tools such as OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Provide training and documentation in Microsoft 365 to promote adoption and best practices across campus.
- Manage and configure policies and settings in Intune.
- Communicate technical issues between departments and ITS, ensuring timely problem resolution and consistent communication.
- Maintain an accurate record and proper documentation of configurations and changes made.
- Recommends system improvements, updates in documentation, and training enhancements based on user feedback and technical assessments.
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, and M365 administration.
Basic troubleshooting of issues within the Microsoft ecosystem, including M365 and on-prem resources.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies, concepts, and tools, and effectively apply them to real-world projects and problem-solving scenarios
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Reports to ITS for 20% of time; reports to various locations on campus for 80% of time.
Provides department-level technical service assistance
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of an earned Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer applications, mathematics, or a related field
Two (2) years of experience in computer support
OR
Completion of technical training in computer science, data processing, or a related field acquired from a vocational, military, or industrial setting plus four years experience in computer support plus one year of supervisory experience
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
