Trading Support Engineer - Global Proprietary Trading Firm - Hong Kong - Relocation Package

A leading global trading and derivatives firm is hiring a Trading Support Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of its high-performance, low-latency trading systems.

You'll be on the trade floor in Hong Kong, embedded with quants, traders, and developers - supporting and optimising mission-critical platforms that power trading across global markets.

This role is hands-on, combining real-time incident ownership with scripting, automation, and system optimisation in a truly fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of incidents, diagnose root causes, and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain and optimise distributed, multi-server trading systems.
• Provide direct trade floor and application support to traders.
• Coordinate UAT and oversee production releases for stability and performance.
• Develop monitoring and logging solutions to improve visibility and resilience.
• Script automation in Linux/Python to streamline workflows and reduce manual overhead.
• Partner with operations and development teams to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in a trading support, SRE, or systems engineering role.
• Proficient in Linux environments and scripting (Python).
• Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working with traders and developers.
• Experience with monitoring, automation, and distributed systems.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with passion for continuous improvement.
