Puget Sound Energy is the largest energy utility in the state, providing electric power to more than 1.2 million customers. As of December 31, 2022, our electric power resources (company-owned, controlled or under long-term contracts) had a total nameplate capacity of approximately 6,566 megawatts (MW), generating almost 22 million megawatt-hours (MWh) annually. We’re undergoing the most significant transformation in our history as we strive to meet Washington state’s clean energy laws - some of the most ambitious in the nation - and deliver on our customers’ expectations for energy that is clean as well as safe, reliable and affordable.
